The Action Spécifique SKA-LOFAR invites the French community interested in radio astronomy to gather for a national conference from November 12 to 15, 2024, at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris.

This conference will be an opportunity to discover and share scientific results, methods, and projects of French teams related to the analysis and interpretation of radio frequency data. It will also be an occasion to learn about the status of the SKA project and to reflect on future opportunities. This national conference will focus on the astrophysics of radio astronomy, across all its frequencies and topics.

- Cosmology

- Epoch of re-ionisation

- Galaxies

- interstellar medium and star formation

- Magnetism

- Pulsars, including PTA

- Transients

- Exoplanets

- Solar system and planetology

Even though the main theme of the conference is related to radio-astronomy, projects combining wavelengths are welcome.

Most presentations, in english, will be held in plenary sessions, with special attention given to making the presentations accessible to all, whether they are experts in radio astronomy techniques or not. Some time may be reserved for more technical discussions in parallel sessions.

There is no registration fee for this conference, hosted by the École Normale Supérieure in Paris and funded by the Action Spécifique SKA-LOFAR.

As previously announced last July, CNES and ONERA will co-organize a new session of the "CNES-ONERA Workshop on Earth-space radiowave Propagation (CO-WoP’2025)".
This workshop will take place from Tuesday 25 February to Thursday 27 February 2025 in Toulouse at ISAE-SUPAERO.
The call for abstract of the CO-WoP’2025 is now open up to Friday 29 November 2024.
